We are adding Done in front of features that are done.

1. Public RSS Feeds suggest +3

2. Exporting of books and reviews (in some readable fashion, because if the server crashes or iRead shuts down, users will at least have a record of their books still) suggest +11

3. Putting my books on my webpage using some form of a widget suggest +2

4. A system for dealing with a book series. suggest +7 -- Done

5. The ability to organize books by category, much like you would find in a bookstore. i.e. Children´s, Sci Fi, Fantasy, Classic, etc. Suggest +11 -- Done Use the tags feature to organize your books. It is highly flexible.

6. The addition of popular, published literary magazines and specific issues as "books". +3

7. The addition of published short stories as "books", with user ability to add publishing information for which anthologies or magazines these stories appear in. +2

8. Import from or integration with LibraryThing.com

9. Stopping too many duplicates of each edition of a book. +11 -- Done It seems to me that this is still occurring.

10. Implementing a feature like MANAGE BOOKSHELF, similar to ReadingSocial. Deleting multiple books at the same time, adding similar rating to multiple books at the same time. A utility that provides the tools to keep the collection in order. Fast and Efficient. +4

11. Updating book covers and making it mandatory for anyone who is adding books to add the Book Cover and ISBN. +12

12. Putting in friends' full names and/or linking to their actual Facebook page. (Otherwise, how can you tell which "Chris" it is?) +5 -- Done

13. The ability to rate books in half stars. i.e. 2 1/2 stars 3 1/2 stars and so on. +9 -- Done

14. Don't send book details in URL as these can blocked by internet filters. Happens after searching for book by title or name on both Facebook/iRead and on weRead.com with classic books like Martian Time-Slip and Moby Dick.

15. A way to choose which sections of the iRead application are shown on a facebook profile (i.e., toggling on or off in the Settings the "My Reviews", "I am Reading", "I have Read", "Friends on iRead", and "Friends Reads") so that only the parts relevant to me are shown. Otherwise the app takes up too much space on my profile. +5

16. I have over 800 books on ReadingSocial. So there must be some way for iRead to import the collection directly from ReadingSocial's database. As ReadingSocial is not really interested to implement (1) an export feature, (2) synchronization with social network ORKUT. iRead should also implement an EXPORT COLLECTION feature.

17. The ability to sort search results by popularity, title, etc. +2

18. Allowing the user to change the way the app looks when displayed on the new facebook in their 'profile tabs'. List view option PLEASE! The picture-only view now is just UGLY, and uncustomizible. +2

19. Adding a 'Listened to it' status option. Love to read, but in the car a lot, so enjoy audiobooks too. +3

20. Please allow mashup to check your local library (bookmarklet app for Amazon). +1 -- Done

21. Make the image showing the book cover work more often. Doesn't seem to be as effective as Facebook's "Books" application at this.

22. Please add "Romance" as a genre--don't be such snobs! 55% of all books sold in the United States are romance novels, so don't snub a huge portion of the market.

23. Please add (in addition to "Read it" "Want to Read It") something like "Embarrassed that I Haven't Read It!" -- Done Please use tags

24. I have a storefront on lulu.com but can't get the books there over to the weRead application. How do we do it? -- Done All Lulu books are now available on weRead (as books by independent authors)

25. Please Add 'Couldn't finish it' status and option to add page number that I got 'stuck' at. For those who did finish it add an 'It gets really good at page x', then maybe I'll read on until I hit the good part of the book. +4 -- Done Please use tags for all such options.

26. Add field for "Date Read" or "Date Completed." With upcoming export feature, this field would be a valuable tool for those who track and/or search by when, how many, etc. books they've read. +9

27. Add ability to prioritize Wanna Read and Recommendations. I can do this with the videos I order from Blockbuster and it would be a wonderful and easy way to manage my book purchases and next books to read. +6

28. Ability to search for quiz tags by key word, rather than browsing the "cloud" of tags. +2

29. Ability to print out lists of your books and star ratings. It's amazing how often I want to do that.+3 - Especially "Want To Read". It would be SO practical to print out the list easily and take to the library, then borrow the available books from the list.

30. On a book's page, put the readers' star ratings of the book under their pictures. If there is any other way to find out whether you have anything in common with other members, I can't find it! +2

31. This Wikipage: feature requests above are excellent. Unfortunately, many people find it complicated to use a Wiki and I believe you would get much more suggestions/co-suggestions if there was a more user friendly way of reviewing and submitting suggestions. Eg. directly on the "help" page. +3

32. Please remove the "invite your friends" pop up ad - it is annoying and completely unnecessary to spam already loyal users.

33. Don't use books by authors from a member's "Heck no!!" list in Recommendations for that member. It's excruciating to be bombarded by recommendation after recommendation after recommendation for an author you've already tried and found unreadable.

34. See Friends rating on books. If I go to their profile, I would like to see their ratings for books, as well as my own. +3

35. Add a feature that allows "notes" for things like where you found the book, when you read it, key insights that you might not want to include in a review, etc... +1

36. A "want to reread" feature. In addition to my list of "to read" books, I also want to remember the ones that I haven't read in years and really should reread. -- Done Please use tags

37. The ability to search among my reads. I have too many books to scroll through them all, looking for a specific one! +1

38. Add a progress meter/bar (similar to those found on craft/project blogs) to books I am reading.

39. I would love to have the ability to rank my Favourite books, the way that Flixster does with movies. That would be great so people know what books I considered to be the most important for me.+4

40. It would be cool to be able to make "lists" of books. For example, make a list of "Favourite Westerns, "Favourite Comedy Books" or "Books With the Best Fight Scenes", etc.+3 -- Done Please use tags for this

41. When we sort out our books, we should pick what the standard sorting should be (i.e. "Recently Added First", "Highest Rated First", etc)+2

42. Please sort the reviews by the "helpful" votes. It is excruciating to have to page through the one-liners "Good." and "Great!" reviews.+2

43. It would be useful to specify the language the book is in. Many books are translated in different languages and sometimes you cannot differentiate Spanish and Italian from the Title, for example.

44. Under profile I think the user should be able to add more info (that he can choose to keep private). This would help to create social contexts that people can select when reading reviews for example (in other words I may not be interested in what my friends think about a book, but I would rather like to know what people working in the same industry as me think about it, or people with same interests as me).

45. Reccomandations is not working very well I think. It's reccomending the same books I've read but in a different language.

46. I don't think the systems handles accents and aphostrophies at the moment (' shows as ///). -- Done

47. The ability to add amazon affiliate info so that we can get a commission from sales that result from our posted bookshelf. Or maybe integrate amazon widgets or the Powell's Books affiliate program (they pay way better than amazon!)?

48. The ability to add books in any language. I live in Japan and often read books published in Japan, but I can't find them on the current site. +1

49. Weread.com and your facebook application should be synchronized. Right now i had to re-register there and there is no way to link the accounts. I also have to capture books again. This is just silly, currently looking for another book network. The point being i would like to make my books read on a public profile without the person having to logon to facebook or even have an account. -- Done

50. It would be great to not only "have read", "reading", "want to read"... but also "using". Many books are reference works, books that one doesn't read, but uses, such as dictionaries and atlases. It seems a bit silly to put those in "Want to read" (which is what I am doing).

51. It would be a good idea, when there is no picture available, to replace the picture with the title of the book. Right now, people must hover the mouse above the non-picture to see the title.

52. I would love it if you could add an option to view all of the books on a user's shelf in a list with each book only taking up one line of text (and no images). This way, the book list can be glanced through quickly and clicked on for more details? I find it cumbersome at times to only be able to see a few books on the shelf at a time and then have to click on the link for the next page.
