Translations
From BooksiRead
Thanks to all of the weRead (iRead) users out there who have volunteered to translate weRead into all sorts of languages (from Italian to Swahili to Klingon). We’ve posted the basic English template as well as a few blank pages to get started. We’ll use these pages to create different versions of iRead. Cám ơn, muchas gracias, and danyavad!
Just a note on some of the English text, if you see a “%s” that’s just a placeholder we use, so don’t worry about translating those!
Here are two examples of such placeholders:
- “%s is reading %s” might get translated to “George is reading Macbeth”
- “%s iReaders reviews” might get translated to “126 iReaders reviews”.
- There are some situations where we use %s to show strings in a special way. For example: Click on the %sChuck this book at a friend%s link from search results, from friends reads, or your reads - the 'Chuck this book at a friend' appears in bold in the page.
If you need any context for some of the strings, check the Context for Translations page.
We’ll be periodically updating the translations with new phrases. When we do this, we’ll try to update this page with new status indicators and the number of translations left to do. You guys are rockstars, thanks so much! - iRead Team
